I'm not sure what the selling price will be on these since I got them for free in exchange for a review. I have had other risottos from pouches before which were probably in the $1.50-$3.00 price range at a grocery store. I'd be willing to spend more than that on these pouches and I'm sure they'd cost more than that anyway. Given they are made from vegetables and gluten free and so on... I suspect they'll be more like $5 or perhaps more per pouch.Either way I found it super simple to make with the instructions of just boiling water, then the risotto for a few minutes and then letting it rest with the heat off. It wasn't too strong of a black pepper flavor but certainly tasted good and not bland in my opinion.When compared with conventional risottos I would say that this grain size is going to be smaller than what you might be used to. I will certainly keep this brand and product in mind for the future to stock my pantry with some long lasting, easy to prep meals or even something I can do when camping!I got these around Feb 2021 and my pouches are stamped with a "Best By 12/04/2021". So maybe not the longest shelf live I've seen in something like this but still plenty of time for my family to wait and enjoy these.
